The Christmas holiday is officially over and we are in full recovery mode here at the Refuge. Yesterday we celebrated Little Christmas, the Feast of the Epiphany, by opening our stockings and having blueberry pancakes. Now it’s time for me to take down the decorations and get back into the swing of things.
What I’m Stitching
After finishing Happily Ever After, I wanted a break from all the color changes, so I decided to put my Storm Trooper Sugar Skull by Stitchline on the frame and work on that for the week. This is a beautiful monochromatic pattern that I’ve chosen to stitch on 14 count Aida, hand dyed purple. All was going well too, until Friday night when the Frog attacked! I had to fix a few sections and take care of a knot, so my progress was impeded. I still love this pattern and it is the one I will be pulling out when I want a change of pace.
What I’m Reading
New Year’s Eve I finished up Murder by Mocha, the 10th book in the Coffeehouse Mystery series, you can see my review here, and as luck would have it the next book was available, so I am making my way through A Brew To A Kill. Hopefully, I will be finished in the next day or so and will have another review up.
What I’m Watching
Currently, hubby and I are getting caught up with TNT’s The Librarians. There are so few shows that we both enjoy that it’s awesome when we find one. So we made our way through season 3 and are now catching up with season 4. The show is very entertaining, a little Syfy/fantasy, a little history, a little action, and a little romance here & there. Pretty much one of those shows that has a little bit for everyone. If you’re interested, Seasons 1-3 are on Hulu and the first seven episodes of Season 4 are on TNT OnDemand, with the newest episode airing Wednesday night at 8pm EST.
Weekly Highlights
This year I’ve decided to attempt to capture the highlights of our week using the Project Life app and Project 52 kit. Here is a look at our 2018 Week 1:
I also did a Project Life layout page for our very fun game night that we had on Thursday:
That’s all, for now, I hope you have a great week and
