Happy Wednesday! I hope this finds you well and enjoying life. Welcome to another weekly update on my cross stitching. This week I am sharing updates on Into The Jungle and Year Of Celebrations.
Into The Jungle
Last week I shared two new starts, one of which is The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery’s 2018 stitch along, Into The Jungle. This month’s block is the adorable Sloth. This pattern looks to be just as fun to stitch as Happily Ever After. Since last Wednesday, I managed to finish the block and stitched the border for February’s block. Here’s a look at stitching my sloth, whom I’ve named Sammie:
Year Of Celebrations – August
After taking Into The Jungle off the frame, I wanted to work on a smaller piece in hopes of having a finish for January. So I decided to kit up the next two months that I need to stitch in the Year Of Celebrations series. So far in this 12 months series, I have completed six of the monthly motifs, February through July:
Making August and September the next two in the line up. As I may have stated before, I am attempting to stitch this series strictly from my stash. Each month is stitched on 14 count Aida making the finished pieces 4” by 4”, which is perfect for my intended finishing. For the floss I converted the recommended floss to DMC, and beyond that if I didn’t have the converted floss in my stash I picked from what I did have on hand. So far August is stitching up nicely:
Ex-Machina
In other exciting stitching news, the material pack for my first Heaven And Earth Design, Ex-Machina, arrived Monday. There was no way I could contain my excitement, therefore I went ahead and put the fabric on the frame and started the first page of stitching.
This is going to take me an extremely long time to stitch, so I’m glad I started with a pattern I really love.
Well that’s my stitching so far…
Thanks for checking in & happy stitching!
