Greetings from Lake Lure, NC! Hubby and I are away this weekend for our annual anniversary weekend. Don’t worry the animals at the refuge are in the good hands of the fur-grandparents. Because we have chosen a life full of furbabies, we don’t have the luxury of going away often. But we make it a point to get one weekend where we can spend time together and reconnect away from the stress of everyday life. What a great place we have chosen this year!
Since I love to travel with a stitching project and prefer it to be fairly portable and easy to stitch, I brought a Mill Hill kit with me, Lucky Day from the Spring Bouquet Collection.
It is stitching up nicely. I did a bit in the car during our drive and the rest here and there throughout our stay. There are only two main colors so not a lot of changes. The beading will probably wait until I have a chance back home to finish it up.
A few stitching shots:
We also took a drive up to Asheville and made a stopover to Sassy Jacks Stitchery. Even though I’m supposed to be stitching from stash, hubby gave me the go ahead to get a few things including another Mill Hill kit and two Just Nan Mouse in the House packets! Also, hubby managed to sneak a purchase in that will probably show its face on my birthday.
That’s all, for now, I hope you have a great week and thanks for taking the time to read my post.
