Happy WIP Wednesday Stitchers! I am back on the blogosphere. You may recall, a few weeks ago in my last WIP Wednesday [link] post, I shared that I was taking a break from blogging and much of social media for a while. Originally, I had planned to continue with these weekly stitching update posts, but I ended up taking a break from the whole thing. Truth be told, the vacation was part voluntary and part necessary.
For much of the past month, I had been dealing with a very severe and debilitating flare-up of my back injury. It really knocked me off my feet, quite literally on some days. Anyway, not only did the pain manage to keep me from most activities, including stitching, reading, and blogging, but I needed to increase my medication, and that just put my brain on autopilot. Fortunately, May brought with it flowers, nice weather, and also an end to the flare-up. That means I am back to stitching, back to reading, and back to blogging!
So without further ado, here is an update on the limited stitching I have done since last time.
Moonstruck
As I said I really haven’t gotten a lot of stitching done over the past few weeks because of the reasons above, however, I did manage to get some work done on my Mill Hill kit, Moonstruck. It may be difficult to see the progress because much of it is brown floss on black perforated paper.
Kiwi
It appears that I can’t get enough of those Mill Hill kits because I started another small one. We did have to travel at the end of April for a family function and I brought along Kiwi, one of the Mill Hill Owlets Ornaments.
Into The Jungle
May also brought us the next block in the Into The Jungle SAL. An adorable crocodile. This project is what I just pulled out yesterday to start working on for the week, and I’m sure working on this pattern will get my stitching juices flowing.
Well, that’s my stitching so far, very glad to be back to normal, well my normal anyway.
Thanks for checking in & happy stitching!
